iSuppli principal analyst Len Jelinek is the latest in a long line of forecasters who predicted the end of capital spending cycles. All those other guys were wrong, and I suspect Jelinek is, too. The fundamental cause of cycles, the lag time between capital investment and wafer output, rears its ugly head every time the lead time for equipment purchases jumps.
